About Me

Allow Me To Introduce Myself

They Call Me The MVP

My name is Matthew Kellum but most people call me Matt as in Matt's Video and Photo Experience. A lot of the time people call me MVP mostly because they remember me by my Instagram. At first I tried to fight it insisting that "No you are the MVP" but eventually I accepted it and discovered yet another layer to my acronym making me the Most Valuable Photographer.

And that's the goal whenever I'm out shooting. I love to shoot all different kinds of sporting events no matter what they. Part of being a photographer is to see things differently. To find the exceptional in the ordinary, focus on it and frame it up. And sometimes it's just capturing the moment. But regardless of what it is getting out there and shooting is what it's all about.

What Is The MVP Experience?

For me the MVP Experience means that I strive to work hard and take great pictures. The kind of pictures that that get the whole team excited when they see them and eager to have me come back. The best moments are when someone gets to see themselves in action for the first time up close in a way they've never seen before.

Which is one of the most enjoyable parts of taking the pictures. It's only so much when you like them but being able to make friends everywhere I go that aren't just happy to see my work but also exited to see me is what makes it count.

So to get the MVP Experience is to get someone who becomes a part of the team not someone who just shows up and leaves. And let me tell you I'm a part of a great many teams now. It also means you get someone who does all he can do make you feel like the best player on field or in other words The MVP.

What makes you the MVP?

This is something I strive to accomplish and expand on with everything I do. It's not easy to do because there's always someway to push that envelope further. But to keep is simple here are some things I do.

I want to make you feel like the MVP because you get someone that works harder. When I show up I'm looking to work and capture the best images and video possible. When I'm shooting I'm exactly where I want to be.

And part of the process is just having lots and lots of fun. The people I shoot have the most fun when the photographer knows how to mesh and get along with everyone. So being social and not afraid to work the crowds is key to everyone having a great time on camera and the best part of the job.
